This class is suited to children ages 6-9. Come and join us in this fun workshop to creating a beautiful hand-made cereal bowl. This ACPC grant funded workshop is only $20. Young artists will be led step-by-step in this easy workshop. After creating their bowl they will decorate it with a colorful 'under glaze' in the same session, which provides endless creative opportunities. No experience necessary. Must be accompanied by a parent, adult or guardian. Adults are welcome to create a bowl as well with the purchase of their own ticket!
Once the workshop is over, your piece will be given a clear coat of glaze by the studio to emphasize the painted patterns. Within a few weeks of class, you can pick up your piece to enjoy and show off your handmade and food-safe masterpiece! Call the studio with any questions or to see when your mug will be ready to pick up. Please allow 3-4 weeks for firing.
This low cost class is made possible with public funds from Placer County, the California Arts Council and private donations, and administered locally by the Arts Council of Placer County, the designated local Arts partner of Placer County and the California Arts Council.
